AKC Star Puppy Program-For puppies up to one year pure bred or mixed pets welcome. Attend any puppy or basic training class at least 7 weeks. In accordance with the AVMA and Purdue, we encourage puppies to start the Puppy K class at 7-8 weeks of age (provided they have their first set of shots) ...and continue their vacs as they go thru class .Please tell your instructor before class starts that you are interested.

Puppy Kindergarten, 6 week class (start any week)-Puppy kindergarten gives your puppy the opportunity to learn to socialize in a safe & fun environment. Start to learn basic commands and start your puppy in a positive direction. Solve all those puppy challenges and make sure your puppy is on the right path to becoming a happy & polite family member. Puppy K is Planet Canine’s foundation class for your puppy and family. Once you have completed puppy K, where will you and your puppy go next? Agility, Obedience, Conformation, and many other canine sports and activities are out there for you and your dog! Planet Canine has the facility, staff and classes to guide you!

Puppy Agility, 6 week class (start any week)-This class is designed for each individual dog and focuses on the achievement of goals. Have fun with your dog, start to bond as a team and release positive energy! Learn foundation exercises and explore puppy-safe obstacles that develop confidence & self control, while you learn dog handling skills. Adolescent Class, 6 week class-Appropriate for puppies from 5 - 10 months old. The adolescent period is a wonderful but challenging time in your dog’s life as they are still puppies…trying hard to be adults! This can be a difficult time for you and your canine best friend, so let the Planet help to guide you with the positive techniques & knowledge needed for adolescent dogs. This class offers the all important play time, training and behavioral support needed to help you understand & apply positive strategies .This is the perfect step after Puppy Kindergarten and Puppy Agility for you and your dog.

Basic Manners One, 6 week class-Enjoy learning how to guide your dog in a positive and fun way! Teach good manners for real life situations while building confidence and skills. The class is set up for all basic level doggies and their individual needs. Learn behavior modification and core basic commands using positive reinforcement techniques – the Planet sets you up to succeed! This class helps you and your dog set the ground work for all your future goals!

Basic Manners Two, 6 week class-All graduates of Basic Manners One or the equivalent are welcome to sign up. This session is designed to concentrate on more focus and obedience accomplishments in a positive and fun way. We are very happy to announce that we will test for your CGC at the end of this class if you wish to do so.

Advanced Obedience, 8 week class-The next step in our line-up, for those looking for structure and detail in polishing your dog’s skills while improving your own. We are excited to see this class growing with the Planet... having completed the basic levels, dogs with a variety of knowledge and goals combines in this class as individual direction is given. Conformation Class (walk-in)-Every Thursday at 7:45. Whether you are a seasoned handler or just learning to show your dog, you can get a competitive edge before your next show at Planet Canine. Let the Planet guide you as you learn the art of showing your dog for the conformation ring. These sessions are designed for the novice to the professional; get some practice in before the weekend shows on Thursday nights! Topics range from gaiting, stacking, standing for examination to learning proper handling techniques. Did we mention our store is stocked with conformation leads, Grooming products and tools from Chris Christensen, Isle of Dogs and more? Get your dog in better physical condition to show at their best by swimming in with Pam in the Planet Canine Pool!
Drop in Obedience w/training-Come learn from the best, each week will feature a different subject on obedience; each class will also work on fine tuning heeling. Rally will be the featured topic every 3rd Thursday of the month.
Open Agility-Open Agility is a drop-in practice with no instruction. You may come anytime after the 6:15 pm start time, and practice until 8:00 PM. Open Agility is a community experience for the good of all! The structure is 5 minute runs on the agility floor with your dog and everyone takes turns. Have fun and Succeed at Planet Canine!

Please Note: Open Agility is not an appropriate place to start agility. There is a pre-requisite of having completed at least one basic level agility class. Please be a good participant and help set up & put away equipment!

Flyball, 3 week class (start anytime)-A great way to have lots of fun with your dog! The Flyball course will teach your dog how to retrieve the ball, jump over the hurdles, catch the ball from the flyball box, and then return back to you! This is a high energy and social sport for all, so what is stopping you from coming out and giving Flyball a try? Every dog learns at their own pace so take as many 3-week sessions as your doggie would like. Planet Canine brings you Flyball so you can keep learning and keep having fun! Get enrolled and start learning Flyball today! Flyball classes are now priced by the month - a person can start Wednesday, pay by the month as they go ... the price for a month is $70.00.

Basic Agility 1, 6 week class-Welcome to the sport of dog agility! Basic Agility will introduce you and your dog to the jumps, a-frame, dog walk, tunnel, pause table, and weave poles. In addition to learning the individual obstacles, you will learn the basic handling skills needed to navigate a full course and work many short sequences. No previous training required.

Basic Agility 2, 6 week class-BA 2 will introduce your dog to the weave poles, teeter totter, tire jump, closed tunnel, and spread jumps (broad/long, double and triple). You and your dog will also continue to build on the skills learned in the previous class(es). Each lesson will include at lest one short sequence with a discussion of handling options.

Agility Handling 1, 6 or 8 week option-Learn the handling skills needed to run a full agility course (about six crosses/turns will be taught). We will run a lot of short sequences to practice those skills plus some easy-but-longer sequences to practice course memorization. Prerequisite: Basic Agility 1 or instructor approval.

Basic Agility 2, 6 week class-Basic Agility 2 introduces your dog to the teeter-totter, closed tunnel, and tire jump and will continue to build on the skills learned in Basic Agility 1. Additional course work will include more challenging handling maneuvers and sequences. Basic Agility 1 or instructor approval required.
